WHAT STEPHANIE EVERETT HAS TO SAY ABOUT AMY:

Amy is a trifecta for the team—she’s a lawyer, small business owner, and experienced business coach to lawyers. She knows what our community members are going through because she’s been in their shoes. She brings that knowledge and empathy to her work and it shows

WHAT JENNIFER WHIGHAM HAS TO SAY ABOUT AMY:

Her history and specialties include:

Amy’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Laws in Law from the University of Windsor, and a JD in Law from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

She spent 10 years as an associate in a large law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright, where she practiced corporate and commercial law with a focus on technology. In 2018, she founded her own small law firm, where she developed a reputation as a lawyer’s lawyer. She focused almost exclusively on legal contracts.

Amy spent time working as a freelance lawyer, getting behind the curtain with common struggles small law firms face before starting her own legal consulting business in 2019. She’s also a Clio Certified Consultant.

She volunteers coaching services through the Coach and Advisor Network for the Law Society of Ontario. She also serves as a committee member on the Strategy and Governance Committee for the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre.

Offline, you’ll find her:

Doing boot camp-style workouts—the sweatier, the better. Hanging out at a family cottage and going for walks, sitting on the dock, visiting with family and friends, or reading (usually business books). You’ll also find her cheering on her kids at their team sports—hockey, baseball, and basketball.

The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise AND why now is the best time in history for lawyers to start their own law firms.

Her genius as a coach is:

Amy worked in big law. She opened her own successful virtual law firm. She started a legal consulting business. Amy has experienced what small firm owners go through and she has guided them through opening firms, transitioning, scaling, and taking their firms to the next level. My practice would not be where it is today without Amy’s assistance

There has been so much progress in just 3 months while working with Amy. I have accomplished things that have been on my to-do list for over 2 years. Amy is very kind and laid back, but underneath she is made of steel—this is who you want on your team of professionals!”
