Clio’s Million Dollar Developer Fund Drives Legal Innovation

Clio is comprehensive law practice management software that easily integrates with over 70 powerful apps, including phone services, time tracking assistants, and trust accounting programs. Thanks to its open API (application programming interface), you can build an app that will work with Clio and do exactly what you want. Now, Clio has launched a $1 million Developer Fund, including the $100,000 Launch//Code contest, to invest in the future of legal technology.

Clio has always been a leader in encouraging collaboration in the legal field. That’s evident from its App Directory, which lets you easily find integrations to help you grow and manage your law firm by leveraging the power of Clio. The $1 million Developer Fund and the Launch//Code contest that kicks it off are natural outgrowths of that innovation mindset.

With the Developer Fund, Clio has set aside $1 million to support creative teams who want to use Clio’s robust platform to foster groundbreaking solutions for forward-thinking lawyers. They’re looking for smart programming teams, with existing products or new ones, who understand the unique pressures and challenges lawyers face and know how to create solutions.

With the Launch//Code contest, Clio is offering $100,000 in prize money to find the most creative, powerful, and useful integrations for Clio. The app must be designed to help legal professionals overcome a difficulty they face daily. Potential finalists will use the extensive client and matter data baked into Clio to help offer law firms solutions that help streamline workflows.

How to Get It

If you’d like to apply for funding from Clio’s Developer Fund, email Clio today. You’ll also need to apply to become a Clio integration partner so you can begin working with Clio’s easy-to-use APIs to help you create better quality apps with incredible speed.

If you’d like to enter Clio’s Launch//Code contest, you’ll need to build an integration with Clio and launch your app in Clio’s App Directory. The contest is open now and runs until July 31, 2018. In September 2018, Clio will announce five finalists who will get to present their integration at the 2018 Clio Cloud Conference. A live panel of judges will name the $100,000 Launch//Code contest winner. For complete details and conditions, see the
