Other than reliable security and client-centric user experience, the most interesting feature of Legaler is really the Services Portal. Here, users can see where Legaler is taking their innovation—a better virtual office experience.
Through this portal, you can create a booking page that can be embedded on your website (or used separately). Additionally, different meeting types can be created with unique scheduling requirements for each type. Meetings initiated through this portal will automatically create a Legaler video conference. Savvy users of this portal may find that they can create a custom and unique experience for their client meetings.
Unlike many other video conferencing providers, Legaler relies on WebRTC technology to encrypt the communication between parties. For those of you who are curious, you can learn more about WebRTC here. For the rest of us, however, what this means is that the communication is end-to-end encrypted, and no third party (including Legaler) has access to the contents of your conversation. And, surprisingly, this goes for the free tier as well as the paid tiers.
Since Legaler has opted for a browser-based connection, not only is it very secure (as above), it is also easier to use. Instead of needing to download an app on your phone, tablet, or computer, you (and your clients) simply connect using something like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or even Microsoft Edge.
Subscriptions start with a free tier that offers a majority of the features that Legaler provides, including encrypted conversations, vote-based scheduling, and collaborative notes & agenda. So there is really no excuse not to try them out—especially if you’re a Clio user.
At the Active subscription level, you get all the Starter features, and access to some hefty storage of your recordings, notes, and messages. Once you get a feel for what Legaler offers, this may be an attractive option as you create more recordings and store more data.
Essentially, if you need something other than what Legaler specifically provides through their other tiers, you may be well served to contact them directly.
Legaler integrates directly into Clio Manage. Although, it is not necessary to use an LPMS to file and organize case information within the platform. The integration, however, helps you manage contacts, track billing, and import notes into Clio from Legaler.
