Pipeliner CRM Highlights

Email and Chrome extensions. Pipeliner has a sophisticated Gmail and Outlook extension to help you quickly create a contact record and create tasks or events from either Pipeliner or your email that syncs seamlessly with one another. It also offers a similar integration for Microsoft Office and Google Suite. In addition to its email extension, Pipeliner also offers Web Clipper, a Chrome add-on. With Web Clipper, if you come across information on a website or profile page, like on LinkedIn, you can easily clip the information you need to add to an existing contact or to create a new one. No more writing things down and trying to remember to incorporate them later.

Pipeliner Universe. While Pipeliner offers great support if you ever encounter any issues using it, it also offers you access to the Pipeliner Universe, whether you’re using Pipeliner or not. You can sign up for their all-things-sales newsletter, SalesPOP, sign-up for a free trial of the Pipeliner CRM software, or join Pipeliner in person for a free-to-attend Power Breakfast as part of its Go Ahead! networking platform.

Over 100 integrations. At the moment, Pipeliner has over 100 integrations with third-party software, like Xero, Google, Microsoft Office, and MailChimp. And with its open API, you can also create your own integrations (or have Pipeliner help you build one).

Pipeliner has 3 different pricing tiers for both its Hybrid and Cloud versions, and the pricing tiers are the same for each:

  • Its Starter package is $35/user/mo billed annually and gets you basic sales management, tracking, and collaboration.
  • Its Business package is $65/user/mo billed annually for full CRM functionality, customization, and unique productivity features.
  • Its Enterprise package is $85/user/mo billed annually for full CRM functionality, advanced reporting, customization, and other services.

Things You Might Want to Know

Hybrid and Cloud. Pipeliner CRM offers 2 versions of its software: Hybrid and Cloud. The Hybrid version is, well, a hybrid solution. It downloaded and lives on your machine or server (in part) and in the cloud (in part). While that may feel strange or a bit antiquated, it has the benefit of allowing you to work within your CRM when you aren’t connected to the internet. So you can work offline and then sync with the cloud when you’re back online. The cloud version is cloud only, so you will need an internet connection to access the software. The Hybrid version offers a little more functionality right now but the Pipeliner team is always updating the software. The Cloud and Hybrid versions will soon have the same features. Also, Pipeliner will be offering a blend of Cloud and Hybrid licenses within the same subscription in the near future.

Mobile Apps. Pipeliner offers mobile apps for both its Hybrid and Cloud versions for both Android and iOS. The mobile apps have all the essential features you need so you can CRM on the go.

Open API. Pipeliner is a CRM for businesses of all types, not just law firms, so it doesn’t have any integrations with law practice management software at the moment. It does, however, boast an open API so you can hire a developer to help you build the integration you want with Pipeliner. Or you can have Pipeliner build that integration for you for a fee (usually about $1,000).

Client Intake. Pipeliner CRM does not have a client intake feature of its own, but it’s integration with Google Forms allows you to create client intake forms through Google to be automatically incorporated into Pipeliner.

Powerful reporting features. Given its intuitive interface, its drag and drop features, and the ability to fully customize a CRM solution for your needs, you can collect the data you need for simple (or complex) reports to help you optimize your sales and client intake procedures.

Who Pipeliner CRM Is For

Pipeliner is a very robust and powerful sales and CRM software. Especially given its integrations with Gmail, Outlook, and Chrome, it’s a good fit for firms and attorneys who want to spend less brain power on the administrative side of law firm sales and client management and more time on generating new clients. The cost-per-user model can get expensive as your firm grows, and the lack of an integration with popular law practice management software tools is a bummer. But if you can get over those hurdles, Pipeliner might be a good fit for you.
