Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of AXEL Go?

AXEL Go’s least expensive plan, Starter, costs $1.99/month. However, the Starter plan limits you to five secure shares (sending files) and five secure fetches (retrieving files) per month. Starter also lacks end-to-end encryption for data, file tracking, and other good-to-have features. We suggest only using Starter to try out the platform. For $9.99/month, you get everything except on-premises storage and multi-user administration tools. You must subscribe to the Team tier for those features.

Does AXEL Go integrate with my Law Practice Management Software?

AXEL Go assists law firms in collecting, storing, and sharing information. Firms use Secure Fetch to easily retrieve information from clients (or third parties) without sacrificing security. They can securely access large or sensitive document sets with encrypted sharing. And an office can easily encrypt its sensitive documents and maintain them in a safe environment with secure storage.

Can my law office accept eSignatures through AXEL Go?

No, the AXEL Go app does not integrate with any LPMS systems. If it did, it would undermine the security of your document management, as AXEL Go’s file storage and sharing methods are likely more secure than any LPMS platform.

Can my law firm accept ePayments through AXEL Go?

Yes. A review shows that you can securely share with clients, opposing counsel, or any third party without them needing to be AXEL Go users.

Does AXEL Go have Guided Interviews or client-facing forms?

No, the AXEL Go app and the AXEL Network are neither collaboration nor document creation platforms, so they do not currently offer version control capabilities.

Is AXEL Go easy for lawyers to use?

No. AXEL Go focuses on secure document management over information management. It does not scan your documents; rather, it breaks them into pieces (called shards) and distributes them across the AXEL Network.

Can my law firm use our own templates?

Yes, and no. If you are imaging entire hard drives, you may still need to deliver your discovery through other means. However, AXEL Go file sharing allows your office to securely send and retrieve documents (with no size limitation) to and from third parties. This is much more secure than email, and since the stored files are encrypted and protected, it is much more confidential than most popular online document storage platforms.

Does AXEL Go have ready-made templates?

While all security methods have vulnerabilities, the AXEL Network, when used appropriately, is likely secure enough for all law practices.

How difficult is AXEL Go to set-up?

A review of the AXEL Go app finds it is as easy as any other popular online document storage platform. The web app user interface is straightforward, and the local file-sharing application is easy to download and get started with.

Will AXEL Go work on my computer?

Yes. AXEL Go has a web application and downloads for Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS. So, provided your office has access to a modern browser, AXEL Go will work for you, or, more importantly, for your clients.

Additional Details about AXEL Go

Who AXEL Go is For

AXEL Go is for small to medium-sized attorneys looking to increase their document security. In particular, it is for offices looking for a secure way to easily get confidential documents from their clients. It is also a great solution for those who often share large discovery packages with opposing attorneys, as the platform has no file size limits.

Attorneys with a small number of clients who have already set up encrypted communications (like PGP encryption) may find this unnecessary. However, the encrypted storage alone may be worth the price of admission.

Alternatively, attorneys seeking a comprehensive document management platform may find AXEL Go and the AXEL Network lacking in a few key collaboration features.
