Community.Lawyer is now Afterpattern. It’s the same database, same apps, same low-code functionality, just a new name.
Afterpattern is low-code document assembly software designed specifically for lawyers. It allows users to create complex legal documents using conditional logic, without writing any code. Users can easily move beyond simple “mail-merge” style form fill-ins and start creating documents with some intelligence to them.

Who Afterpattern is For
This platform is for attorneys who wants to go beyond the basic document assembly built into their Law Practice Management Software (LPMS)—although Clio users will likely find it the most useful. Many times, it will allow an attorney to create one “smart” document where they would normally have multiple iterations to choose from.
Its real power, however, comes from its ability to make “Apps.” These are guided interviews that can create unique documents based on answers to questions presented. These can be internal or external-facing. So, your assistant can build documents based on your specifications, or you can allow your clients to input the information.

Additional Details about Afterpattern
Client Portal
The Client Portal is a place where you can allow your clients to securely access the apps you have created for them. You can also charge them for this access, which, we think, is a real game-changer.
Documentation
Afterpattern has some of the best documentation out there. Don’t believe us? Have a look. Not only do they have videos and walk-throughs of how to use their product, but they have tutorials on the basic concepts needed to utilize any document automation software.
Integrations
The most notable integration for Afterpattern is the two-way sync with Clio (which Documate and Lawyaw also have). However, they also integrate with Google Sheets. So, if you have to, you can send information via Zapier. We would like to see more integrations with products like AirTable, Notion, and standard MySQL databases, which don’t exist right now. But we imagine that is in the works.
Seems to have some good functionality but I had to learn to code. I switched back to HotDocs after giving it a try and learning to become a programmer.
