For statutes, a sample subset of these summaries is available to the general public at the LexisNexis US Voting Law & Legislation Center(https://www.lexisnexisrolfoundation.org/voting-laws.aspx#/votinglaw/landing). Visit that site to learn more about different voting laws in each state, such as absentee voting, early voting, and voter ID laws. For documents you supply, Lexis+ AI supports analysis and summary of documents up to 400,000 characters (approximately 150 pages).
Conversational Search: Lexis+ AI’s conversational search is another way of describing a chat-like interaction with a generative AI. Unlike general purpose Ais, such as ChatGPT, Lexis+ AI is designed for legal professionals, and claims to answer your questions “like a trust colleague.”
Drafting Assistance: Lexis+ AI offers full-text responses similar to those of ChatGPT. You can ask the Lexis+ AI’s chat interface to help you draft emails and documents. The benefit of Lexis+ AI over a “general purpose” AI chatbot is that Lexis+ AI is informed by the legal knowledge available to Lexis. Instead of simple requests, you could ask Lexis+ AI to draft an email to a client describing burden shifting that occurs in particular employment law matter, confident that the response is grounded in statutes, case law, and reliable secondary sources.
