Unlike general purpose AIs, such as ChatGPT, Lexis+ AI is designed for legal professionals, and claims to answer your questions “like a trust colleague.”

Legal Drafting Assistant

Creates first drafts of legal documents like motions, contracts, memos, and discovery questions. Users can tailor tone, format, and jurisdictional preferences, and build from prior prompts or uploaded documents for continuity and relevance.

Lexis+ AI offers full-text responses similar to those of ChatGPT. You can ask the Lexis+ AI’s chat interface to help you draft emails and documents. The benefit of Lexis+ AI over a “general purpose” AI chatbot is that Lexis+ AI is informed by the legal knowledge available to Lexis. Instead of simple requests, you could ask Lexis+ AI to draft an email to a client describing burden shifting that occurs in particular employment law matter, confident that the response is grounded in statutes, case law, and reliable secondary sources.

Summarization

Quickly condenses long cases, legal memos, or user-uploaded documents into digestible summaries.
