Product Security

Handles Case Research

When you launch Copilot, it presents several categories of help. Some categories overlap with “general use” AI tools. These include summarizing documents, drafting emails, translating text, and correcting grammar.

Where LawDroid Copilot differs is with the category “case law research.” Select that option the AI prompts you to “describe to me the legal issue you would like me to research,” and requests that you “give me the jurisdiction and as much detail as possible.” In a demo where the user asked for “cases involving child custody where the parent has stopped paying child support in California,” Copilot returned several cases, each offering a case preview and case brief. Copilot can generate a case summary, complete with facts, procedural history, issues raised, holding, reasoning, and any “rule” the case produced on the fly. Additionally, you can quiz Copilot with questions specific to that case.

Motion Analysis

Upload a document to LawDroid Copilot. It will analyze the document and then be able to answer your questions about it. Among the AI’s toolkit as the ability to summarize the document, extract arguments, extract legal citations, and respond to factual Q&A about the text.”
