Podcast #183: Rethinking Substance Abuse & Addiction, with Jeff Glover

In this episode of The Lawyerist Podcast, Jeff Glover joins us to talk about substance abuse and addiction—what it is and what treatment looks like. Sam and Jeff move away from the typical black-and-white/addict-or-not perspective and talk through some of the sensitivities and stigmas around the subject. They also talk about how lawyers—and anyone else—struggling with abuse and addiction can identify whether they have a problem and get the help they need.

Thanks for this important program on substance use. We’re grateful for the information about Minnesota’s lawyer assistance program. If you’e in another state, here’s a directory of all of the programs. Every state has one. https://www.americanbar.org/groups/lawyer_assistance/resources/lap_programs_by_state.html
