In this episode with Lee Holcomb, we talk about her career path, her new book Lifestyle Lawyer, and how, with technology, women lawyers can find a voice and position in a challenging and constantly changing legal market.
Lee Holcomb is an author, consultant, and the COO and Director of Legal Services for an international legal process outsourcing company. Her goal is to be in touch with her true self as much as possible and to be a good example to her two boys. One of the weirdest things in her desk drawer is a collection of Hindu key chains from her time in India. She currently has Hannuman, Ganesh, Krishna, and Shiva key chain holders just waiting for keys!
One piece of wisdom Lee would like to share is this:
“It’s important to have work in our life. Being engaged in work brings happiness and purpose to a person’s life. It doesn’t always have to be paid work, but we all need to be contributing to society. It’s where we find out who we were meant to be.”

Lee is also currently working to put together Lawyer Yoga & Wellness CLE classes with Joanna McCracken. She’s teaching one in Boise in September and one on October 13th in Nashville. They are planning their first international multi-day retreat in Cuba, slated for April 2019.
One book Lee thinks attorneys and anyone interested in how the internet and technology are changing business is, The Third Wave by Steve Case. She also listens to the podcast How I Built This by Guy Raz. She’s a sucker for listening to how big companies got started.
