When Microsoft first released its Office apps for iPad, iPhone, and Android, you had to have an Office 365 subscription to get full functionality. A day afer announcing its big-deal partnership with Dropbox, Microsoft has announced that you can edit and store Office documents in the cloud, for free. Mostly.

Technically that means all of you. You’re technically not allowed to use the consumer versions of Microsoft Office to make money. Unfortunately, the Office 365 business plans are pretty unsuitable to solos and small-firm practices. Nobody at that size needs SharePoint, which is pretty much what OneDrive for Business amounts to. It is far too clunky for small businesses.
