Consumers can search for attorneys via practice area or location.
Plan attorneys. Attorneys can choose to be part of LegalZoom’s plan network As members of that network, they provide direct representation to clients seeking legal advice in a number of practice areas:

Attorneys are eligible to apply to be a plan attorney if they have practiced law for at least five years, are in good standing, and have no public record of discipline. They must also maintain errors and omissions insurance with a $100,000 minimum per occurrence and a total of $300,000.
Local attorney directory. It is free to be listed in LegalZoom’s local attorney directory. It acts as an internal resource for plan attorneys who may need to refer clients who have a legal issue that exceeds the scope of LegalZoom’s plans. In order to be listed in the local attorney directory, lawyers must meet the same standards as plan attorneys: at least five years of practice, in good standing, and no public record of discipline. If you work with a client that is referred to you via the directory service, you must provide that client with a 25% discount off your regular rate unless it is a contingency matter or fees are set by statute. Attorneys may specify up to three practice locations and three practice areas.
