Connect your bank accounts and import all bank transactions through Quicken’s secure portal. Stay on top of expenses and income by categorizing all business and home expenses, which may be useful if you are a solo lawyer who needs to be able to keep track of home and business transactions all in one program.

Things You Might Want To Know

Security. Quicken Home and Business uses both 128-bit and 256-bit encryption to protect data.

Migration. You can import security price data into Quicken via a CSV file, but Quicken cannot import any other data via that method. You can import tax data from TurboTax. Otherwise, Quicken seems limited to importing data from other versions of Quicken.

Apps and Integration. Quicken has mobile apps for both iOS and Android. However, since Quicken Home and Business is desktop-based, the app must be two-way synced with your laptop or desktop.

Who Quicken Home and Business Is For

Quicken Home and Business is a good fit for firms looking for an on-premise solution to accounting. It’s also great for solos who want to track home and business expenses all in one place. However, it’s probably not a good fit for firms who are looking for cloud-based business accounting software that they can access from anywhere.

One Review of Quicken Home and Business

  1. Anonymous says:

Quicken feels out of date for current small businesses

Quicken made great software in the 80s and 90s, but it feels out of date to use install-software in 2017.
