In response to Roy’s plea to lawyers to develop some practice management skills, CKP says part of the problem is that lawyers already think they have all the skills they need. Which, if I’m honest, sounds about right. It’s why we build our own websites and listen to lawyers-turned-marketers instead of actual marketing professionals (or lawyers-turned-bloggers, for that matter).

    I find not only to lawyers want to be masters of all things, but many clients and potential clients are genuinely surprised to find that we aren’t and can’t be.
