Free: 10 Things the Best Law-Firm Website Designs Have in Common

For seven years, Lawyerist has published an annual list of the best law firm websites. Now, you can find out what they have in common.

This week Aaron and I discuss “morning pages” and robot lawbreakers, and Sam interviews Brian Tannebaum, author of The Practice: Brutal Truths About Lawyers and Lawyering.

Morning Pages

Morning pages is a daily practice for clearing your head every morning so you can be more productive with your days. Julia Cameron apparently came up with the idea — or at least popularized it. Aaron heard it the other day on Tim Ferriss’s podcast with screenwriter Brian Koppelman (here’s what Tim’s morning pages look like) and decided to try it himself.

If you’re interested in morning pages, it might help to get the journal if you need a new tool to get started. Or you can obviously just use your own.

Robot Lawbreakers

Fair warning: robots are apparently going to be a recurring theme in this podcast, as any phrase that starts with robot makes Sam and Aaron giggle. Particularly when they turn to a life of crime, as happened recently in Switzerland. Random Darknet Shopper is a software bot that was given a credit card and pointed at the Darknet, where it purchased, among other things, some drugs.

Then, it got arrested.
