4-Step Computer Security Upgrade

Learn to encrypt your files, secure your computer when using public Wi-Fi, enable two-factor authentication, and use good passwords.

ABAjournalappIn my recent post reviewing iPhone apps, a reader suggested iPhone users download the ABA Journal iPhone App. The ABA Journal App has promise, but lacks utility in its current form.

Users can browse news articles from the ABA Journal. The app has two buttons, “save/share” and “open in Safari.” The “save/share” button allows you to easily share the article via email, which makes the “open in Safari” button somewhat redundant. Perhaps the biggest weakness is the inability to search the articles. Adding this button in a future update would increase the app’s utility tenfold.

Update: Apparently the ABA Journal has fixed the linking issue in the app since we tested it. Let us know if it works well for you now.

The app allows users to browse the ABA Journal Magazine, but it only appears to allow users to browse one article from the current issue. Again, adding a search function would be nice, along with some additional content.

If you are waiting in the courtroom hallway, the app can help you kill time. Other than that, the current version of this app does not have much to offer.
