You know what actually kind of sucks about ultraportable scanners like the ScanSnap S1100? They may weigh less than a pound, but they won’t work without a bulky peripheral that weighs five times as much (a laptop). That’s why I was pretty excited to see the Doxie Go, an ultraportable scanner that doesn’t need to be attached to a computer to function.

Apparently, you scan on the go, and when you get back to your computer, plug it in and sync. Genius! Doxie just let me know that a test unit is on the way. Look for the review soon!
