Dress for Success: Pattern Ties

I’ve noticed that all I see in court these days are stripe ties. If you’ve got a closet full of striped shirts, it can be tough to match your stripe ties (although not impossible). There are some great deals on patterned ties happening now. Check them out below.

    With the exception of the navy pindot, one should not wear any of those ties to court, if one is expected to be taken seriously.

    • If you think a judge is going to rule against your client because you’re wearing a patterned tie, then I think you need to get to court more often. Unless you dress like Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinnie, I don’t think a judge is going to care what your tie looks like. A jury could be different but a boring tie will help the jury go to sleep. At least if you can get them to look at your tie, they’re paying attention to you.
