Try Neat? Lawyerist Weighs In On the Ubiquitous White Scanner

by Lawyerist on November 19, 2011 in Legal Technology

Although we’re unabashed fans of the ScanSnap, it seemed only fair to try the NeatDesk Desktop Scanner. After all, you can hardly avoid the SkyMall spreads and daytime commercials. The verdict? After spending some time with one, the NeatDesk didn’t measure up to the ScanSnap.

Which is really no surprise, we suppose.

You’re review seems to reveal a reality where you have compared and then gone so far as to judge unfairly. You should be ashamed of yourself for slanting such a comparison then present yourself in guise of fairness all for what, free equipment?

I don’t understand this comment. Both Fujitsu and Neat gave us review units to test. We’ve made no secret of that. If you think we have a bias as a result of comparing two free scanners, look for a different review.

If there was no bias, there should be no reason to get defensive.
Last time I use this site as a refference.

Uh-oh. Sam is driving away the NeatDesk employees.

It’s a review. It’s not required to be neutral. If you think there’s a mistake in the review, you should state what it is. If you have a different opinion than the review, you can buy the product or write your own review. But you can’t just take empty shots and pretend you’re righteous. That’s bad form.
