Great Tips!

I would just like to add one small thing for the law students – that please do not approach directly for seeking a job to any individual who is a designated HR, CEO, COO, Vice President, Partner, Team Leader and Project Manager of any Lawfirm, Corporate Legal Entity and LPO through your network connection in Linkedin. It might prove fatal in otherway.

I like the idea of remembering SEO and its usefulness.

This list is just as important to lawyers as law student. I am a 3L in the twin cities and found this discussion useful. While I have a long term job lined up for the next 5 years I will take these recommendations to heart. Things can change at anytime and keeping ones marketing up to date is a definite must.

Here’s a little LinkedIn hack:

When adding your websites/blogs to your profile, do not use the default “my website” categories. Instead, select “other” and type the actual name of the site (or a description of it).

This will serve both to add some SEO to your site with a keyword-optimized link from LinkedIn, but will also be a more useful and interesting piece of information for viewers of your profile.
