As the new semester begins, we are looking for law students to join the team here at Lawyerist as regular contributors.
Please pass this along to any law students you know who might be interested in this opportunity.
Description:
We want law students to join us as contributors for Lawyerist. We need students who can provide technology tips on succeeding in law school and/or who can provide advice to other students on how to successfully conduct job searches. We may also occasionally want some help with research, editing, and administrative support for the rest of the blog.
Student contributors will be expected to submit publishable posts on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on your schedule). We will provide occasional support in developing post topics. Students commit to writing for at least a full school year. Expected time commitment is less than 5 hours per week. This position is unpaid.
Benefits:
You will build a portfolio of writing at a top legal blog read by thousands of attorneys each month. We will write you a letter of recommendation if you need it. You can put it on your resume. You will make great connections with other lawyers all over the country. If your law school allows it, we will be happy to help you get independent research credit.
How to apply:
Email us your resume and two previously-unpublished draft blog posts (or detailed post proposals) on the topic(s) of law school success or job searching by October 15, 2009. Draft posts should be around 200-800 words and should provide valuable advice to other law students or attorneys.
Other guest posters are always welcome:
Anyone else interested in being published on Lawyerist is always welcome to send us a post proposal or draft (same email as above). Click here for more information on Lawyerist guest posting.
